brief list of things

i have been insanely busy with work and field trips and market runs and work.

BRIEF LIST OF THINGS:

-  the apartment i'm living in was built on top of ancient roman burial grounds.

-  i went to an art museum and saw a sigmar polke painting (lapis lazuli II).  i have been lucky enough to see a few paintings during my young lifetime that have just pulled me in... i could stare at them for hours.  the only other painting i remember having a clear reaction to is jackson pollock's "lavender mist."  (i was in 8th grade)

-  look at me getting all old souled and shit.

-  on the bus ride it was kind of raining and the sun was setting and there was this giant giant giant orange cloud and you could see the rain falling through the air in these ripply misty patterns.  words cannot describe it and a picture wouldn't have done it any justice but that was another one of those "wow." moments.

-  I ALSO SAW TWO RAINBOWS.  two separate rainbows.  in separate areas.  at two different times.  it was just one of those days.

-  i had more other things to say but cannot remember them.

-  the chefs that work in the cafeteria are the most wonderful wonderful people ever.

-  i should go to bed soon so i can wake up and eat crepes and baguettes and pain au chocolat.

-  oh yeah.  i witness this strange incident at this french cafe in this city involving a small screaming pooping kitten and a bunch of hysteric french women and the cute waiter and a homeless guy who reminded me of a homeless guy from the south and he seemed to know the cat and what was happening and the woman in the cafe came out and then someone opened the door next to the outdoor cafe put the cat into this hallway and it kept whining and it was the strangest two minutes ever and i was with three people and none of us knew what the hell happened.
